About Maintain Property South
A Dorset property maintenance company built to do the ordinary things properly: answer the phone, quote quickly, turn up when we said, and hand over the paperwork afterwards.
Anyone responsible for a building knows the pattern. A repair gets reported. A contractor is called. Then comes the chasing — for a visit, then for a quote, then for a date, then for the certificate afterwards. Meanwhile the tenant is still without heating, the compliance file is still incomplete, and you are still the one making the phone calls.
Maintain Property South exists because that pattern is so common it has stopped being remarkable. We built the business around the opposite of it.
What that means in practice
We survey before we price, so a quote reflects the job the building actually needs rather than a guess from the pavement. Work is scheduled around access, tenants and trading hours rather than around our diary. And when a job is finished you get the certificates and photographs that prove it was done properly — without having to ask for them twice.
Experience behind it
The company is new, deliberately so. The experience behind it is not — more than 15 years in construction sit behind it, and MPS is the result of seeing the same avoidable problems repeat across all of them.
What we look after
We maintain commercial and domestic property across Dorset and the South of England, covering both reactive and planned work. That runs from a single repair on a let flat through to facilities management for a business with premises, block management for communal areas, and full roof replacements.
Compliance runs underneath all of it. Our job is to ensure a property is safe and legal for the people using it, and that the evidence exists to show it.
Where we work
We are based in Dorset and named the business "South" for a reason — the intention is to cover the South of England properly rather than a single postcode. Today most of our work is in Blandford Forum, Shaftesbury, Bournemouth, Poole, Salisbury, Dorchester, Weymouth, Wareham and Gillingham, and we travel further for the right job.
Who we work for

We keep you posted
Some quotes wait on a supplier or a specialist coming back to us, so we will not pretend every price lands overnight. What we will do is tell you when to expect it — and chase it ourselves rather than leaving you to.
Diagnose before pricing
We look at the building before we price the work. It is why our quotes for roofs and damp sometimes come in lower than the alternative — the job was genuinely smaller.
Leave a paper trail
Certificates and photographs of completed work as standard. If you are ever asked to prove a building was maintained properly, you should not have to go looking.
